IREB Fundamentals Practice Exam

In the context of system X, identifying the correct relationship with system Y and system Z hinges on understanding how these systems interact or relate to the scope and boundaries of system X. The correct statement indicates that system Y operates within the established parameters and functionality of system X, meaning it directly contributes to or is influenced by the processes, inputs, and outputs of system X.

By stating that system Z exists in the "irrelevant environment," it suggests that system Z does not have a functional or practical relation to system X. This distinction is important because it clarifies that system Z does not affect or depend on system X, making it irrelevant to the analysis or design of system X itself. This framing helps in understanding which systems are essential for consideration and which can be disregarded when focusing on system X.

In contrast, the other statements imply varying degrees of relevance and relationships between system Y and system Z with respect to system X. However, they fail to properly categorize system Y as being within system X or system Z as irrelevant. Thus, the assertion that system Y is part of system X while system Z is irrelevant accurately describes the functional landscape of these systems, highlighting the critical focus areas when assessing system X's context.
